Eurozone Trade Surplus Jumps to €19.4B as US Exports Surge 15% Under New Trade Deal
The Eurozone's trade surplus ballooned to €19.4 billion in September 2025, marking a dramatic €17.5 billion increase from August's €1.9 billion. This 33.5% year-over-year surge follows the implementation of the new transatlantic trade agreement with the US, which propelled EU exports to America by 15.4% to €53.1 billion.
Overall EU exports grew 7.7% globally while imports ROSE 5.3%, creating a €22.2 billion surplus with the US alone. Eurostat data confirms the trade pact's immediate impact, though Bank of America economist Ruben Segura-Cayuela warns of impending criticism of the agreement.
